A Guide for Language Teachers
Developed for Cesta von’s AMAL Programme, “Encounter: Language Education for Third Spaces” is a professional development guide for volunteers who teach multilingual students in community spaces. ‘Encounter’ helps volunteers to develop their understanding and skills of teaching language in a way that is grounded in partnership, dignity, and mutual listening. Get in touch if you’d like us to work with you to develop a bespoke professional development programme for your organisation.
Classroom Discussion Material
Developed for secondary teachers in the UK, this resource is aimed at promoting constructive discussion around othering – the practice of recognising, and often labelling, someone as different from you. It helps pupils to engage with the subject matter in respectful and open ways. Get in touch if we can help you develop bespoke teaching materials for your organisation.
